The envelope.

A bulgy pocket of golden paper with a sealable flap was delivered to our house early this morning by a mailman. The sender’s address reads:

29 Rancho Circle Lake Forest, CA 92630

The hell, what? What is supposed to come from that far? At first I thought it came from my aunt on California but then that is not their address.

Baffled, I carefully removed the tape on the flap to open it. Inside were eight CD’s that came from a group called Firefighters for Christ.

Isn’t it amazing how God works on me nowadays? Too wonderful, I’m telling you. Words aren’t enough to express the flow of joy in my heart.

There are just ten days remaining before the beginning of the next chapter of my life: college. I am busying myself to fill in the empty hours of the passing days. I just don’t like the idea of thinking repetitively about what might happen on my first day. 

Besides reading Princess Daisy by Judith Krantz, I am writing a novella entitled “Ni Kapirasong Langit” which is to be published on this blog on the 31st. I have already written 60 pages on Microsoft Word–good enough, good enough, but the writing-process is not yet through. If I were to give a synopsis, it is apparently impossible because I am still on the course of constructing the whole story.

As soon as I finish writing the novella, I will print hard copies for a few friends. Earlmond, Abigail and Kristine are included on my list. If ever an old schoolmate requests a copy or two, my “no” is certainly out of my dictionary.

By the way, our Freshmen Orientation is on May 31. Start of classes will be on the next day, June 1. All I am waiting for right now is the issuance of school uniform.
